O’Reillys Wedding Photography – Sarah & Simon

I was really excited and looking forward to the Wedding of Sarah and Simon. Although we hadn’t had much time to plan our photography strategy in advance we were heading to one of Queensland most picturesque locations, Lamington National Park so I knew it was going to be amazing.

It was a long 2.5 hour drive up the mountain range (completely worth the drive!) to the Wedding location to be followed by a 10 hour photo shoot, my partner and I were fortunate enough to have the Bride and Groom offer us a room for two nights in one of the O’Reillys Rainforest Retreats Villas where their families were staying.

We arrived early afternoon on Friday 4th October to scout out the location with Sarah and Simon to get a feel for the environment. The evening was followed by a party with the families and a small spotlighting adventure, Tim and I were welcomed with open arms and treated as if we were part of the family, how wonderful!

The brisk morning of the wedding arrived and the sun was shining brightly over Mount Lindsay and Mount Barney. At noon a very relaxed Bridal party preparation commenced with plenty of time before the 3:30pm ceremony. A 15 minute 4WD adventure later we arrived at Luke’s Bluff where an intimate ceremony hosting 60 guest awaited the Brides arrival. Better weather and views could not have been possible.

We squeezed in 4 Photographic locations before dashing to catch that magical sunset photograph over the infinity pool where the cocktail hour was being held. The party lasted well into the evening and I think I can speak for everyone invited that this was a truly wonderful wedding in a magnificent location, the perfect day for Sarah and Simon 🙂

Thank you for allowing us the privilege of photographing your special day.
