Doug & Amy – Byron View Farm

How lucky are we to have friends like these?!

Tim was there the night Doug and Amy met at a party and I met the dashing duo just over 5 years ago at a friends BBQ. Here we are 5 years later photographing their GORGEOUS Wedding in beautiful Byron Bay!

12 months earlier just after announcing their Engagement Amy and I started planning, dreaming and pinteresting Wedding ideas, turns out we love the same style so this was always going to be a winning combo.

The day before their Wedding, standing on top of the world in perfect August weather with 360 degree views of Byron the final plans fell into place.

Morning prep started early with the boys at their Air B’n’B house full of cheery happy friends and family before heading up the mountain to see the blushing Bride getting ready in her little white cabin at Byron View Farm. Drone flying overhead as the red double decker bus brimming with guests pulls into the dirt drive as cows watch on to see what all the fuss is about.

Amy walks down the aisle as a groomsman plays the piano nearby. With a heartfelt ceremony and view that last forever Doug and Amy became husband and wife, followed by a traditional Chinese tea ceremony watched on by guests.

Off into the fields for fun with the Bridal party and coloured smoke bombs on top of the Byron mountains, puppies ran circles around us as the wind swept Amy’s veil. Sunset glowed extra bright just for us and filled the photos with warmth on a cool winters afternoon.

A total of 600 meters of fairy lights wrapped up around the clear marquee as braziers burned bright warming the guests while a Greek feast was enjoyed by all. The party continued way on into the evening but the icing on the cake was the cake.. Literally, the best Wedding cake I’ve ever eaten, Black Forrest, Millies of Newrybar – genius!

Congratulations Doug and Amy on your beautiful Wedding, we are beyond delighted that we were able to be a part of your big day and capture your Wedding for you. Here’s to many more years of friendship xox
