I met Emily and Alasdair a year ago photographing their Engagement Party at the Boondall Wetlands, a Puppy friendly day by the pond with lots of fun and Lockie (Em and Al’s Furbaby) cuddles!
12 months on after many a shared like of photographs of our Puppies on Instagram and Facebook, here we are at Emily and Alasdair’s Wedding Day!
Let me just say, I love Magnolia on Kent, it’s a gorgeous old Queenslander Air B’n’B in New Farm with beautifully decorated rooms to get ready in. At prep this morning we all learnt how to tie a bow tie, who knew it was so hard to do! Highlight of my morning was watching Jo (Em’s Bridesmaid) master the art of bowtie-ing on a long stem vase in the hallway, and thanks to Youtube, bowtie success!
A limo ride to Walkabout Creek and we were bang on time for a 3pm ceremony, when I say on time, I mean it, 3pm on the dot, walking down the aisle a 3pm and 5 seconds, I love it, most ontime Bride ever!
Sam O’Sullivan performed a lovely, fun, relaxed ceremony, heartfelt vows and tears were shared and sealed with a kiss x
Off down the bush track we trek and what are the chances of running into someone you work with who has just been on a epic hike? Apparently the odds were high as Emily ran into a very excited work colleague! We wandered far and wide as Chris (a trooper of a Groomsman) ran back to the car to get Emily some comfy thongs to finish our adventure, champion!
A glittery, fairy light lit Reception in the Ferntree room followed packed with family, friends, love and polaroids. Dancing, food and wine continued on well into the evening as Lockie napped with his fur friends after a big day of playing dreaming of Mum and Dads Wedding and all the treats he was going to get when they got home x
Lots of love guys xoxo
Oh and on a personal note, I have a super soft spot for Em and Al, not just because we are both puppy mad but because we both got Engaged on 24th December 2017, we were meant to be friends!
